Jeffrey Smith

Jeff leads Wave’s efforts to support and collaborate with advocacy organizations, individuals, and families affected by severe genetic illnesses. Jeff has nearly 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry and is passionate about making a positive and sustainable impact in patient communities. Before joining Wave, he spent 10 years at Biogen working in multiple sclerosis (MS), hemophilia, and other therapeutic areas. Prior to his roles in patient advocacy and product planning, he worked in drug discovery research at EnVivo Pharmaceuticals and Millennium Pharmaceuticals. Jeff holds a BS and MS in biochemistry from the University of Rochester and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Boston University.
